  Robert J. Sawyer, a distinguished Canadian author, is one of only eight writers to receive the Hugo, Nebula, and John W. Campbell Memorial Awards for best novel. He is a member of the Orders of Canada and Ontario and was inducted into the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.
